Good Restaurants in Wellesley, Wayland or Natick

Or is this an oxymoron? I grew up in the area and my mom still lives there so I'd like to find a few restaurants and treat her to a few decent meals. Does it have to be Captain Marden's for the 100th time? Sheesh. Any suggestions? And please not the Villa or the Dolphin or the Wayside Inn.

Oops. I was gonna suggest the Dolphin. What was I thinking?

I often meet a friend at the Cottage in Wellesley. Near Capt. Marsden's. There is also Sel de la Terre in the Natick Mall.

Similar situation here with relatives, there. Used to love the Dolphin but it has gone downhill.

Both Prime and Coach Grill on route 20 in Wayland are good choices,

Nearby Waltham has many restaurants, and there is every type of cuisine you can think of. Il Cappruccio (high end) on Main Street is often written up in Boston Magazine, and the Chateau (family type) is a good choice too.

Funny, but I have lived most of my life in the Boston area, but it has been so long since I have done anything touristy that I don't know the answer to many questions. Yet I can answer questions about St. Thomas.

Go figure !

great question, I'm new to metro west but have some suggestions (never been to Capt. Marden's)- Pappa Razzi in Wellesley and also Natick, Aegean in Framingham, Zaftig's in Natick for casual dining.

Thanks all. It's not in Wellesley, Natick or Framingham but we went to Flatbread in Bedford. Excellent wood-fired pizza, salads and desserts. Thai Amarin in Wellesley also has great Thai. Good salads seem hard to find (had a really expensive and mediocre lobster salad plate at The Cottage in Welllesy) but actually had some excellent salads at Nordstrom's in Natick. Have recently headed to Lowell for some unbelievably good ethnic food at fantastic prices. Unfortunately the Washington, D.C. area where I live now is becoming just like the Boston area. The high cost of real estate is pushing all the mom and pop restaurants out and the vacuum is filled by gross chain restaurants.
