so glad we stayed in Glouchester

Just got back from a week trip to Boston and Glouchester. I went back and forth about whether to stay in Glouchester or Rockport. I'm very happy that we chose Glouchester. We spent the day in Rockport and it felt like any other tourist town. Glouchester is a fishing town and had a real down to earth feel about it. We stayed right on the ocean at the Bass Rocks Inn. All in all, it was a great end to our vacation.

Hi Bostonbound,

To me, you were in Gloucester and Rockport at a beautiful time of year on the off season, it would have been a madhouse if it was in the middle of July with traffic and tourists. The off season to me is always the very best time to be along the coast and it was early enough for you in that you had pretty decent weather most of the time! You did very well to see it all then anyway and I'm sure you enjoyed it, regardless! We're so glad to hear this news, thank you for letting us know.

I've seen the Bass Rocks Inn on drives along the coast of Cape Ann and know some people that say they really like it there a lot. It certainly was a great way to end your vacation, that's for sure; you're absolutely right about that! Good for you!
