Honeymoon in Camden

We are looking for a romantic place to stay for our honeymoon in August. Would prefer a location that does not cater to families with kids. Thanks,

I can't help but notice that anyone who suggests the Norumbega is going only on the proximity to town and the looks of the place. I strongly advise against staying there. This past weekend we went there to inquire about a room, and were shown three (3 available rooms on the busiest weekend--hmmmm). Each one had a worse smell than the other, and there were fans blowing everywhere- very odd! The manager was less-than-charming, although everyone else in town is so friendly. We declined a room and finally found a great place a bit out of town but very pleasant (Youngtown Inn- I wouldn't go there for a honeymoon, but for any other weekend, definitely! GREAT place to get dinner, too). We were informed by some locals that the Norumbega has a reputation as being unclean, so our impression was not off.

I would advise trying The Inn at Sunrise Point or Ocean's Edge- both are in lovely locations, quiet settings yet close to town, and the rooms are beautiful and tasteful.
