Cajun/Zydeco music March 1

We'll be in Lafayette on Sunday,March 1st for one night. We'd love to hear some live Cajun or Zydeco music while we're there. Any suggestions?

Here's a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon, listening to music.

You can check Randol's Restaurant, Mulates, or Prejean's Restaurants.

The Times of Acadiana should have a new edition out Thursday morning, and you can find a lot of music schedules in there! www.timesofacadiana.com

Sounds great. Not sure how far this is from Lafayette, but we'll plug in the GPS and head there.

Thanks so much

Wow, can't believe there's that much live music on a Sunday! I think we'll try to go to a couple of places suggested by the newspaper site. Thanks a lot for the assistance. Wish we had more time to visit Lafayette.

If you can, definitely go to Whiskey River. It is a GREAT place to see live Cajun/Zydeco music.

Geno Delafose will be at Whiskey River on March 1 - Here is a sample of his music:

I really enjoy him - the Creole Cowboy!

Can't thank you enough for all your help. TA forums are fabulous. We went to Whisky River to hear Geno Delafose and had a blast. Great music and we were blown away by the great dancing. People were very friendly and a gentleman we spoke to at length recommended going to Pat's for dinner and more music. Had a great meal (catfish and crawfish) and listened to Joel Martin and da Classics. Enjoyed that as well. Great day. Hope to return to your area again next year. Thanks again.

The next time you're in the area, plan to be there on a Saturday. The music cranks up early on Saturday and lasts well into the night.
