As a Louisville native born and raised, I do think this is a good article for seeing some of what the city has to offer that's not related to the Derby. As a non-drinker, I'd trade the bars for a stroll on the Riverwalk or a cruise on the Belle of Louisville, but a trip to Cherokee Park is a must-do as mentioned.

I walk in Cherokee Park almost every day. I agree. It's one of my favorite outdoor places in our city.
