Recent review from solo traveler ...

My company booked DoubleTree Rosemont Hotel for my Dec trip. Recent review from other solo traveler said there was a 'bed bugs' incident happened in DoubleTree.

Since the package I have is non-refundable and I don't think my company would switch me to other hotel. Is there anything I can do when I check in? By the way, I will have 1 day free time, is it save to travel from Rosemont to Chicago Downtown? If so, what transportation should I take?

Your advice is much appreciated.

When you check-in, mention the bed bug issue to them.

From Rosemont to/from downtown, you'll take the CTA blue line train. The Rosemont station is a short walk north from your hotel. It will take about 45-60 minutes each way by train. www.transitchicago.com for public transit information. There's a trip planner tool on the homepage.
