Going to navy graduation with an infant

We will be going to see my son graduate boot camp on Labor Day weekend with his wife and baby girl. My daughter in law is wondering about going toChicago to sight see. I would definitely want to take the Metra, but would it be safe and reasonable to take a 5 month old? If not maybe we should stay back with the baby and let them go?

Also she wants to see him off at the airport, should we drive the rental car there or take the Metra? We are flying into Milwaukee but he will fly out of Chicago.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Nothing wrong with taking an infant on Metra.

Metra does not serve O'hare from Great Lakes. You'll need to drive if she wants to see him off.
