Help with hotel research

Hi all. Planning on coming to town for 3 nights between August 11-15. Not sure which nights specifically yet. I am looking for an as close to luxury as I can afford hotel. I am looking for updated clean rooms and a nice spa for a spa day. I am trying to keep hotel around 200-250 per night, as hotel fees and taxes will probably add another 150 per night depending on location.

One other thing I am looking for is a nice big shower. I saw pictures of the shower at the langham hotel and that's the style I'm looking for.

Oh and we would prefer convenient travel to magnificent mile. Either walking distance or near an el station for quick travels.

Thanks!

Please play with your proposed dates using www.booking.com or similar site. You can read hotel reviews in TA. Just type the property name in the search box at the top of the TA page.

21,000 attendee convention here from 8/14-8/16. That might affect your hotel budget.

There are numerous showing in your price range on those dates: the Sofitel, The Thompson, ThevDana Hotel & spa... You've got plenty of choices. You have to firm up your dates because, as Dave said, conventions can double rates overnight.
