Is your conference offering complimentary shuttle service to downtown area hotels? Most of the larger ones do. Of your short list - Langham.

If you have shuttle service from The Langham then there is no other choice. The others are not in the same league.

Shuttle service only for select hotels. Could I walk to Omni or Sheraton for shuttle service....take a cab instead?

You don't have to be a guest of the hotel where the free shuttle stops.

Langham to Omni - 10 minute walk.

Langham to Sheraton - 10 minute walk

Langham to James - 8 minute walk

You had better check with your convention group. Conventions want to keep its group confined so may not offer amenities to group members outside the lines. Free transportation to the convention center is a big plus. Stay at the Langham on your next visit.

I think the Langham is in kind of a weird area in a weird building. I have not seen the rooms but I hope they are spectacular.

Across the street from the Trump Tower on the Chicago River between the Theatre district and River North is a weird location? I don't think so... The Langham is a great location. Downtown Chicago is a great location.

The Langham building is classic Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It's actually an important architectural entity.
