Park Stay Fly O'hare--midnight arrival

Last year we had a good experience with the Holiday Inn in Rosemont, but the parking was in a garage away from the hotel, which was fine since we returned during the day, but I would not be thrilled to walk thru that garage at midnight. Any suggestions for safe park stay fly hotels for a late return? I was considering the Hampton Inn in Schiller Park, but I don't know how their parking is. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I read the reviews before I asked my question, but they don't really seem to answer the question of whether the parking is safe to walk in at midnight. I am just looking for a park stay fly hotel that I won't have to be worried about walking in their parking area that late at night. As I stated in my question, the hotel we stayed at last year had you park in an unattened garage away from the hotel that you had to walk a block or so to get to carrying luggage. That is OK during the day, but not late at night!

The group of hotels on the west side of River Road all use that large garage. It is huge, but I've never felt unsafe in it. The Hyatt on the east side of River Road has its own parking, as do the other hotels in or near Rosemont. I'd stay close to O'Hare rather than the Irving Park Road area - that's a busy thoroughfare for truck traffic, and the hotels are older properties.

I meant to say, "the group of hotels on the west side of River Road and near the Rosemont Convention Center all use that large garage."

Do you know if the parking for the Hyatt is in a lot or garage? That was another hotel I was considering.

Generally speaking, you'll be fine walking in any of the hotel lots in Rosemont or Schiller Park.

The Hyatt Regency O'hare has a garage.

Thanks! I'll find something in one of those 2 areas. I'm not used to being out anywhere at midnight, let alone the Chicago area, so I guess I'm being a little overly cautious!! Does anyone have any preference for a park sleep fly hotel in either of these 2 areas?

Please type Park Sleep Fly in the search box above. It's a frequently asked question in this forum.

The Hyatt Regency O'Hare has a garage that's about 1/8 the size of the Convention Center West garage. If you are set on an open lot, look at the Westin at 6100 River Road.

The Hyatt Regency's garage is attached to the hotel with a heated breezeway connecting them. I've used it many times and feel safe there. Usually you can park fairly close to the doors. Also the stairwell has glass walls so you can see in from the lot or hotel entry.

Be aware that the Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Rosemont are not he same hotels. The Rosemont is a bit farther north on River, by the Casino, and also has a garage but you need to cross a side street to get to it.
