getting to wrigley Field

We are staying at Fairfield located on East Ontario Street. We are planning on Seeing a cubs game. Don't know what the best option to getting to the field is. It will be a night game. We are a family of 4. Our kids are 14 and 6. Should we take the red line, taxi or park in valet at the hotel so we can drive our car? How much will parking around the field cost?

Thanks

Danielle

No need to drive. Red line from Grand is fine with the kids.

If you don't want to wait for a train after the game, catching a cab at Wrigley won't be a problem.

Don't drive. Parking around there is a hassle. The stadium does not have a real parking lot like most stadiums so parking, for a night game especially is a pain. The red line is very easy. Taking the red line back is also easy. The platform will be crowded. But as long as you are not claustrophobic, it's definitely easiest.

A taxi back would probably be $30-$40. It's not impossible to get one after the game, but a little difficult at times as there's no organized cab stand. People are hailing them from every corner. If the game is busy, you might have to walk around a bit or wait a bit to find an unoccupied one. It is do-able though. I've taken cabs home multiple times.
