Good clubs for dancing??

Hello!

3 girlfriends and I are traveling to Chicago in a few weekends for a girls trip. We are looking for a good club or bar with good dancing and not a ridiculous cover charge. Good, reasonably priced drinks would also be a plus :-)

Any suggestions? We love 80's music, not sure if there are clubs that have 80's night?

Thanks for the help!

The question is asked often. Type dance clubs in the Chicago search engine.

The Caberet (or main level) of Excalibur has lots of 70s/80s and pop music. Drink prices are pretty typical of downtown. Upstairs is trendier and I think a separate cover to get in.

There are a few really fun 80s covers band they play at some of the bars in the Lincoln Park or Wrigleyville area (like uncle Fatty's rum resort or Cubby Bear). You could check the bands website or facebook pages and see if they are playing downtown. Three bands I would suggest for 80s music Wedding Banned http://www.weddingbanned.com/about.html , Spazmatics http://www.chicagospazmatics.com/ and Hairbangers Ball (more 80s metal or hair bands like Poison, Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses) http://hairbangersball.com/
