Mccormick Place and transportation/hotel HELP

Will be attending show at McCormick June 5-9 landing at Midway. Trying to find an inexpensive place to stay that might be near public transportation that would get me easily back and forth from hotel to Mccormick and easy from Midway to hotel. Trying to keep expenses to a minimum but finding it impossible to figure out - would be greatful for all suggestions

You can get to/from McCormick Place and downtown via the South Shore Line train: http://www.nictd.com/. It's a short ride.

You may want to check with the trade show that your're attending. Many shows provide free shuttle bus service from McCormick Place to/from downtown hotels. They also may have free South Shore train tickets.

The CTA orange line train provides service from Midway to downtown. If you don't want to deal with transferring trains, your hotel options would be limited to the central part of downtown.

What's your hotel budget? Have you considered Priceline or Hotwire?

These places are nothing special. Reviews are on this website.

Have you looked at the Red Roof Inn or Days Inn? They are all short cab rides to/from Randolph Street Station.
