"Snake River Brewing"

In 1984, I visited the Snake River Brewery, which was in an old hop kiln, the middle of hop fields. I could have sworn it was on or close to Labor Camp Road, but I can't even find that road on any maps. I'm doing an article about the history of small breweries in the NW, and wanted to take a "now" picture when I'm next in the area to go with a faded "then" we still have. Any info would be appreciated. I believe Tim Batt was the owner/brewer

It was the Snake River Brewing Company, Notus, Id. The owner/brewer's family were hops ranchers. They did a beautiful "amber", which was a ruby color, and a nice lager

There are no hop fields in Eastern Idaho. Hop fields in Idaho are in Canyon County and Northern Idaho. Eastern Idaho has the Two Row Barley fields.

Tim Batt's Snake River Brewery closed in 1991. It was between Caldwell and Notus Idaho and I visited there several times and brought home beer. I used caps from the Snake River Brewery on all my home Brew.

I know this post is really old, but I can tell you that it's no longer Labor Camp Road. It is now Farmway road. The brewery still stands but my Uncle Tim passed away about 5 years ago. The property was sold a long time ago so you will have to get permission from them for photos. If you do end up seeing this post and getting some pics, do you think I could get some copies. I have a lot of labels, caps, and etc from the brewery and want to put together a "Tribute" to my uncle.

Thanks.

I have a bottle of Snake River Premium Lager brewing number 3. The label shows a water falls in the center of the picture. I owned a paper box company that made sixpacks and I believe we talked to them about packaging many years ago. I have been retired for 20 years. The bottle is yours (beer is probably flat!) if I could figure out a way to get it to you. I don't know if alcohol can be send thru the mail.

Hello Battman, I just acquired a Idaho Springs Grapefruit soda bottle manufactured by Snake River Brewing in Caldwell, Idaho. After researching this oddball soda bottle I could find zero information on the history except on this Snake River Brewing conversation post. I know Snake River Brewing produced beer, however grapefruit soda seems to be pretty rare. Do you know anybody that has a similar bottle and may know the worth?
