Lis, you are coming soon, right? The quickest way is to take I90 east to Coeur d'Alene. It is quite pretty over the mountains, but there is a stretch east of the mountains before you get to Spokane where the landscape is not too pretty, but you have to cross it any way you go! It has a very important geological history.

DObby is correct I90 is the way to go fast and mostly scenic, the geography is very interesting have a look....
