1st timers visiting the Georgia Coast

We are a family of 4 ho will be visiting the Georgia Coast. We will be staying in Brunswick.

We will have 3 days during the last week of March.

1) Can we do Jekyll Island, St Simon Island and Cumberland Island?

2) What are the differences in those 3 islands?

3) What are the "must-sees and must-dos" in those areas in terms of historic areas, nature, attractions with kids, outdoors activities, etc..?

Kids are 10 & 12.

Let us know as we'd like to make the best and the most out of our visit to Georgia's Golden Isles.

Please advise and thanks.

Each island is very different imo-

St. Simons Island- Ft. Frederica, mainly homes, lovely golf courses

Jekyll Island- Millionaires museums, historic area, hotels and some homes, state park

Cumblerland Island- national seashore- you get there by ferry- almost untouched area of GA coast- wild horses, biking, etc.

Here are some links-

Enjoy your visit!!

Cumberland island is more than a half day trip accessible only by ferry. 9 to 2:45 on specific days. But it is a must see for the entire area. Call for complete info and reservations on the ferry.

Cumberland is unique 17 miles long and 2 miles wide with no development ... the way all the Coast was at one time...it is worth a large part of your time .. you will not be disappointed.. I would edit my to do and to visit list and stay somewhere long enough to experience the pace and the feel of this area... then you will understand why they are called the "Golden" isles
