Columbus appears to have a problem with restaurants that will be open for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm also have problems finding one. I've tried Trip Advisor to locate one but so far I'm not having any luck.

Looking for places open on Thanksgiving that perhaps aren't a chain restaurant. Need to stay within 25 miles of Ft Benning

It is interesting that with Fort Benning in the area, that there aren't more restuarants (that aren't chains) open for a Thanksgiving dinner. I am having the same difficulty finding someplace other than chains open on that day.

Columbus isn't a big place. Locals will be eating at the country club, at home/family members or Callaway. There are a few nice restaurants in town and you can contact them to see if they are open - but they usually aren't.

Like any small city, you could eat at the nicer hotels. The Marriott and Doubletree both have restaurants and both are Houlihan's

Having a base in a big town/small city doesn't add fine dining to the city.

Go to Callaway!
