We arrived in WPB yesterday, it's our first time here. Last night we went to CityPlace and around Clematis Street but there was hardly anybody around or in the bars. Is it normally this quiet during the week at this time of the year? Would it be busier during the week in say October?

Thanks :-)

I live downtown and it does tend to be more quiet during the week, especially on a Tuesday night. We like to break our week up on Wednesday night, and I've been finding that more people are out and about so you may find it just a bit more lively tonight. Things definitely heat up on the weekend - are you planning to be around Clematis/CityPlace this weekend?

It's certainly gets busier during the holidays and winter season, which is now through mid-April, not so much in October.

Where are you staying - in or near downtown? Give it another try, on the weekend if you can, because it's definitely festive this time of year as more people arrive for The Season.

Hope you enjoy your visit!

Also on Thursday evening is Clematis by night. Lots of people will be out and about. In addition the clubs/bars liven up on Thursdays on both Clematis and City place after 10. Keep in mond that the slowest season down here is September-November, so not sure an October trip would change things. It really gets hopping X-mas week through Easter. The cold fronts this year have slowed some of this down as the locals are chilly=).
