Venice restaurant

So we live in Venice and to celebrate our friend's 60th birthday 18 of us decided to dine at Mama Leone's at Center Road and Jacaranda. Two of us had Restaurant.com coupons for $25. We informed the waitress when we were seated and suggested that we could split into two groups to accommodate the specifications of the coupon, ie one per table. The owner came over and said since we were the same party she would NOT honor both coupons regardless if we sat in two groups.... VERY BAD marketing strategy. Needless to say we left the second coupon on the table and wil not go back... nor will the folks who were with us .. or our friends. Mediocre food, over priced and not a friendy owner....

1. Re: Venice restaurant

Your mad at the restaurant because they followed the directions on the coupon?

You make me think of those people in the supermarket who go through the 10 items or less with 20 items and break up the purchase into 2 groups so you can make it through.

If the coupon said one per table then thats what it is. Just cause its 2 seperate checks doesnt mean you can use it.

If you wanted to use it you should have broke up as a group gone into the restaurant as 2 seperate parties and sat at 2 seperate tables.
