Where is the young, college-educated crowd?

Where do all the young, college-educated, professionals go to have a little fun? (22-30 years old crowd)

Any nice lounges, wine bars, etc in the city?

is Ybor only for drunken college kids? 18-22 range?

22-30 year old professionals...go to Hyde Park..Hyde Park Cafe, Mangroves, Whiskey Park, MacDintons, Dubliner, Seven 17, Ceviche's. In Ybor, they are mostly at Prana, Green Iguana, Amphitheater.

In St. Pete, The Lobby, Ceviche, Cafe Alma.

All those are great.

Just to add a couple of others:

In Ybor I like Lotus. There's also a lounge called the Rare Olive, it's quite eclectic.

Speaking of Eclectic, there is a rather popular bar called Tiny Tap that has a whole mix of people going to it. It's a gas station turned bar, and the men's room is actually outside, but ya gotta love the $2 PBRs, and for some reason it's a quite diverse hip place. Good jukebox. It's like one of those places people will go before going to the clubs.

There's also this new thing I keep hearing about called the Cork N Olive. But I don't know much about it because I haven't been. Basically it's like a wine tasting bar. Once a month they host a Sip N Dip that's supposed to be fun (free food and free wine...awesome).

There's 4 Green Fields (Irish pub) that is famous for being a true thatched-roofed pub.

You may want to try the Hard Rock Casino. But only afterhours. Anytime before like 10pm is more of an older, more casual crowd. If you wait to go after 2am, then it packs up with lots of younger crowd peeps on Saturday nights.

Blue Martini is nice in International Plaza; but that might be getting into the older, college professionals a bit more.

Up near USF, there used to be Mug-Night at this place called Gator's on Wednesday nights. But it lost its appeal after the management allegedly refused to allegedly hire the alleged Police Chief's alleged son and it got allegedly harassed by the 5-0 repeatedly (just covering my alleged butt there. I have no qualms with Tampa's finest).

Oh, and there are two Whiskey Parks. The South one has a bigger splash with the in-crowds. Sunday night is Service Industry night there.

Also, in Ybor, Samarai Blue is a classy place for good sushi and cocktails, and busy on weekend nights.

On Friday nights, Jackson's has a big crowd before heading on over to Hyde Park after midnight.

Also, Tiny Tap is cash only. Would you expect anything else from an old renovated petrol station?

The Green Iguana at Rocky Point was cool until it moved to Anderson. Now I no longer know about if it still has the same crowd or not. I'm sure everyone still prefers the one in Ybor anyway.
