Accommodation advice

Hello, I'm new to this forum, having posted on the Orlando one previously. We are hoping to spend a couple of days at the beach in early October, driving down from Orlando. We will be three adults and two children, aged 4 and 6. Looking for somewhere nice to stay, not too crowded and Siesta Key/Sarasota sounds perfect. Can anyone advise if it will be crowded at this time of year, please?

Thank you!

It is still low season.and a good time to visit. Weather and temperatures very nice. Water still warm but not as warm as May thru September. Plenty to enjoy

Have a great trip

How many bedrooms do you require, how many nights and how much do you want to spend per night?

Many options.

Top end of the range is Hyatt Siesta Key Beach Club.

SRQgirl, we are looking for two bedrooms for two, possibly, three nights and prefer 4-star type accommodation. I think the Hyatt looks out of our budget but will check out the link. Many thanks!

Hard to judge the ratings on lodging since most are condos or motels.

There aren't any full service hotels on Siesta Key. Many places have a minimum rental period...some will rent daily or a 3 day minimum.

You can look at these places on the Gulf side:

Sandbox on the Beach

Sea Shell

Siesta Dunes

Tropical Sun

Sea Crest Apartments

House of the Sun

Palm Bay Club

Jamaica Royale

There are others that are across the street from the Gulf...different list.

Places to look for websites etc:

That's great, thank you. I have started to look through the links, lots of really useful information. It looks like we will stay for 3 nights as it seems to make more sense.

Many thanks again!
