Alternatives to Crystal Sands and Crescent Arms

Having a hard time deciding on location. Considering Crescent Beach area. Crystal Sands won't work as it is two weeks and maybe just a little out of budget range. Crescent Arms looks good, but pool is on back side and quite far back. Would prefer pool overlooking the Gulf. Not a must though. Any suggestions? Walking distance to snorkeling would be nice. Can you swim in January?

Thanx

Most people from northern areas don't find the water too cold for swimming. (Sweden is definitely considered north).

Crescent Arms hasn't been getting the best of reviews, lately.

If you click on the "Hotels" heading there is a subheading for "other lodging". You can read reviews for condos.

In January-April many condos have 2 week or more minimums.

To the best of my knowledge, the only snorkeling spot on Siesta Key is "Point O Rocks" so, if you are working with a rental agent, you might ask about accommodations within walking distance to that area.
