Restaurant advice.............please!

Looking for a restaurant in between Bonefish Grill and say Michaels on East or Ruth's Chris. Something pretty straight forward where we could enjoy a drink and a leisurely dinner. Family dinner consisting off 3-4 couples, ages mid 30's to mid 50's.

Bonefish isn't cheap....so in between expensive and very expensive? Or geographically?

Harry's, at 41 and Stickney Point, is an all purpose kind of place, sort of a bar and grill, with a full bar, sometimes live music outside, tv's with sports on.

How about Roy's, with their pre-fixe menu? Good food, good deal, full bar, pleasant surroundings....(about $35/pp).

A bit more info. I meant in between Bonefish and Ruth's Chris in the sense of money not location. A place that is comfortable and a bit upscale without being formal. A place where if one person wanted a salad with grilled chicken or a couple of appetizers as their entree, and one person wanted filet mignon and/or lobster or fish, they can. Maybe a place to have a cocktail while waiting for our table if need be. We went to Libby's for our last family outing and enjoyed it alot, but would like to try somethng new. Roys sounds interesting to me,but mixed reviews here on Trip Advisor?!? Roesslers sounds a bit formal?? Thanks to all,and please, keep suggestions coming if possible. Our dinner is set for mid week, the week before Christmas.

You might consider Eat Here.. on Main St. (downtown Sarasota)

Great food.

Indigenous..also downtown.

Miguel's....Siesta Key.

Roessler's is more formal..probably not the place for 30 somethings.

Oh my goodness! I am having a hard time making every one in my group happy. I think Eat Here and Indigenous sound quite interesting. Me and one other!! A little out there for my meat/fish/potato group I am afraid. How about italien? Maybe we should shoot for something a little more casual......

Roy's fits the bill. Fun appetizers, a pre-fixe menu, fancier options as well…..and a full bar, with some nice drinks too. Meat and potatoes, and also some sushi and special kinds of apps.
