Sundial is a full resort with resort amenities including three onsite restaurants, spa, touch tank, daily kids activities and four pools.
Pointe Santo is a condo complex with a clubhouse that offers a daily activity per kids age group. There are also two adult only swim times at Pointe Santo's only pool, which is rather small for a complex of that size.
If you really want a resort with tons of kids activities, look at South Seas Resort on Captiva Island. The resort is geared towards families with children of all ages.
When our kids were small, we stayed at the Sundial. We liked having the pools and restaurants on site- and all the kiddie activities. But it was noisy, especially in some of the units close to the pools. Some of the units are huge, with wraparound patios. If you stay, do your research if you are bothered by noise and find a unit not close to the pools.
Once the kids got a bit older, we switched to Pointe Santo and couldn't be happier. Like the other poster mentioned, there is a pool, but a small one and there are activities for the kids, but it is a much quieter place/location. There are no restaurants on the property but the gulf front units are closer to the water than many of the other places in that area.
