What's a girl to do?

We are coming to St Petersburg the weekend in April for a wedding. The wedding in on Saturday and the guys will be playing golf the Friday. What a girl to do? #1 What is the best beach for relaxation away from the crouds? #2 What is the best sight seeing thing to do? I love deep see fishing, any ideas? #3 Where is the best place on the beach to get a nice lunch?

There are no beaches in St. Petersburg - you would have to drive to the beaches in St. Pete Beach. If you are looking for a great beach away from the crowds, and have transportation, my suggestion would be to go to Pass-a-Grille Beach. There are places to eat there - but I'm not really familiar with them. Ask the question of where the best place would be to eat in Pass-a-Grille on the St. Pete Beach forum - and someone will tell you. There are also places to deep sea fish in Pass-a-Grille.

What area will you be staying in? Having that information as well as knowing if you will have a car to get around would help people guide you to things to do.

Look into Pass-A-Grille Beach. South end of St. Pete Beach. Will be the quieter, off the beaten path beach, and is very nice.

Agree with Pass-a-Grille for a quiet, pretty beach.

While in P-a-G, take a walk down historic 8th Ave for cute boutiquies, one-of-a-kind shops, upscale jewelry, galleries, ice cream.

Also, you can go deep sea fishing from Merry Pier in P-a-G. Great crew, and they will fillet your fish for you after the trip.

There are many restaurants in the area. Paradise Grill is right on the beach, with counter service and picnic tables, and good freshly cooked food. On the bay side of the island, we really like the Wharf.
