My husband and I are going to St.Pete Beach for a quick get away for Thanksgiving weekend. Anyone know if businesses (restaurants, bars, etc.) are open and how busy it is during this time of year?

Most restaurants, bars, and convenience stores will be open. Publix will be closed, but Sweetbay Supermarket will be open.

Many restaurants will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in addition to their regular menu, and a few will be offering lavish buffets. Take a look at some of the ads here in the BeachLife newspaper. If something appeals, you might want to make a reservation, especially at the more formal venues.

It is a busy weekend, but not like the peak of high season in March/April. Traffic will be manageable, and, as always, plenty of room for all on the beach! :-)
