Why not exit I-275 at Exit 23 (central Ave) versus Exit 23B

I am driving to SPB ( Treasure Island, Bilmar Resort) from Valdosta, GA.

Can anyone tell me why Mapquest has me getting off at X-23B and then taking 5th Ave over to Causeway. (see below)

Wouldn't it be easier to get off at Exit 23 and take Central Ave straight to the Causeway?

Finally, if anyone has done the math, which route (5th Ave or Central Ave) requires that I cross red light cameras on my way to the Causeway?

Thanks

There is no exit 23 for Central Ave from 275. The mapquest route IS the best, quickest route to Treasure Island. But are you going to TI or SPB? I only ask because you have posted in the SPB forum.

I don't *think* there are any camera lights along that route.

Whoops, just noticed that you are staying at the Bilmar! So that Mapquest route is most definitely the way you want to go :-)
