We will be going to St. Pete Beach and staying at a condo near Dolphin Village.
Can anybody recommend some good restaurants within WALKING distance?
Thanks!
Charles
Charles, You can walk to
Snappers
Skidders (best pizza ever)
Silas's Steakhouse
Shells Seafood (in the Travelodge)
Durango Steakhouse
In the village there is a decent Thai restaurant
But you can get the beach trolley up and down and there are lots more restaurants to visit, e.g The Hurricane in Pass-a-Grille is well worth a visit, as are the restaurants along Corey Avenue.
You will be spoilt for choice.
Thank you so much for such a quick reply!
Glad to hear that there are many choices. This will be our first time at St. Pete Beach. We are so looking forward to it.

We have stayed there maybe 20 times and will return in January, it is a lovely place.
I recommend you check out Pass-a-Grille; the Beach Theater in Corey Avenue; the Prime Outlets at Ellenton; Fort de Soto; and there is a comedy club in the Howard Johnson not far from you.
Enjoy!
We also enjoyed our meal at Crabby Bill's which I believe would be in walking distance for you. We also ate at the restaurant at the Holiday Inn (not the revolving one at the top but something on the ground floor)-our hotel recommended it for ribs and if I recall the food was okay but the service was terrible.
Try Gigi's on Gulf Boulevard near the Holiday Inn and the Sirata. Great little italian place, looks like a hole in the wall, small, but the food and atmosphere were great and not too pricey.

Thank you all for your replies.
We were just back from St. Pete Beach. The weather was perfect. We only hoped that the sea water was warmer. It was too cold to swim there.
As far as restaurants, we liked Silas Dent's Steakhouse very much. Besides the steaks, their escargots (an appertizer) was excellent! Highly recommended.
We also tried the Thai restaurant in the Dolphin Village. It was okay but I thought it was a little over-priced for the quality of the food.
One day we walked along the beach until we reached Passage-a-Grill, and had lunch at Wharf. It was very good for the price, especially if you are looking for a light meal.
We also rented a car for aonther day. (There is a Hertz in the Dolphin Village. Very convenient!) We went to Nori Thai, another Thai restaurant, for dinner. Their sushi was very good, very fresh.
Although I wrote down all your suggestions, we didn't have time to explore them all. I'll keep their names for our next trip!
Thanks a lot! You folks really made our vacation even more enjoyable.
Charles
P.S. When we arrived at the Tampa airport, we took the shuttle bus to our condo for $17.50 per person. On our way back, we found a local taxi company (phone 727-367-3702) to take us back to the airport for $46 regardless of number of people. The taxi was a new Lincoln Town Car! So, if you have 3-4 people, it actually costs less to take the taxi.
