we are heading up to SGI area next weekend for a few day's staying in Apalachicola this go around..wish the economy was good as a few years back. we rented a house right on the beach in SCI ..the best entire family vacation we ever had..it was wonderful..anyways ( got off topic there ) is the particle bridge still available to fish from ? we had such a good time fishing from it and caught alot of fish including a small shark..excited about going up there again..hopefully no hurricanes are in our future

As mentioned, the bridge on the island side was damaged during tropical storm Debby last year. As of now, I believe you can get onto the pier for about 100ft and are restricted from going any further as they are in the process of rebuilding the section that was damaged. If you are staying in Apalach, you can fish from the Eastpoint side of the pier which is open.
