Yes amanx, here's hoping it will be safe!! You must be worried due to the fact that they are saying this will be worse than Andrew.

Thank you Dolphin. We never lost power, but I know several people who are still out in Port Charlotte. Arcadia 20 miles to the East is still flooded out in many places :(

Been in a couple of eyes..not something you want to experience. I let a dog out in the eye of a typhoon and didn't see him for two days!

Just checked in with the fellow that owns the house we rent in Port Charlotte. A couple of screen blew off in the pool enclosure and a leak in the roof. Not a lot of damage but enough, and they just got power on a couple of days ago. So, we are able to return and help support the local economy. My heart breaks for others who faired much worse.

Oh nice amanx, we will be there the 29th. Enjoy your stay with your niece! AND enjoy the beach! We are going to get a lot of rain and winds from hurricane Jose here in New England for the next few days, of course nothing like Irma that devastated so much of Florida.

She just had a baby, I am going to provide some free childcare (and cooking) for a few days ;)

We get what you get later, so sure Jose will give us some trouble after.
