When to go? May or June?

When is it the best time to visit Orlando?

At the end of May or the first week of June?

Does it rain at the beginning of June as I read somewhere the rainfall in June is 18cm so not sure when to book for! May or June?!

Thanks guys!

1. Re: When to go? May or June?

If you can book in May and avoid the last weekend of May, then do it then.

In the U.S., the last weekend in May is a holiday weekend called Memorial Day and it's a "three day" weekend with most folks getting the day off on Monday. Crowds will be high at theme parks that weekend.

June will be worse, so if you can go before the last weekend in May, do so.

Rainfall increases as the summer draws near, so you might have some daily rain showers once June arrives. Uusally, they don't last long nor amount to much rain at one time, but they can come every day.

From your advice me and partner have booked Orlando going on May 14th - 28th! Can you shed any light on the weather in mid May and will there be any rain?

Also, we're staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort but did not include car hire with our package and my query is how easy it is to hire a car out in Orlando as we're both 23 and and plan to hire a car when we get out to Orlando.

Any advice would be appreciated! Many thanks.

May 14th-28th will be a good time to be in Orlando for low crowds until the 25th anyway. That's when the Memorial Day weekend will begin and crowds will be high, so if you can manage to get all your theme park visits in before that date, it might work to your advantage.

Mid-May weather is typically pretty nice, with warm temps and usually not too much rain. Might have a day or so when it rains, but those pesky afternoon thunderstorms aren't usually the "norm" that early in the summer.

Hiring a car shouldn't be too much of a problem if you can find a good rate. Being under age 25 may cause the rental company to charge you more for being a "young driver" by their standards, but since you're over age 21, you shouldn't run into "age" restriction problems otherwise. I have no recommendations for companies, but suggest you do some research on prices and such via internet and book a car before you arrive at the airport.

We would like to go to Orlando for 2 weeks.

The last week of June and the first of July.

If you live in Orlando, could you please let us know how the weather is usually during this period.

And if it's crowded at Disney?

If this is not a good perio, which weeks are best between last week of June and 3rd week of August??

Thank you in advance

Hate to bring you bad news, but last week of June and first week of July will be very, very, hot, humid, and very crowded. There is an American holiday the first week of July called Independence Day (4th of July) and that week would be very crowded and the heat and humidity is bad all summer long.

You're time period doesn't allow for many "uncrowded" times, but if you can avoid that first week of July, you might see somewhat smaller crowds. Weather will be the same throughout that entire period (hot and humid with rain showers on a daily basis practically). Crowds do start to diminish a small bit during the first part of August, but the threat of hurricanes/tropical storms gets larger then too.

It's really a hard time to find the best conditions.

Thanks Kat-cubs-fan. If we want to go the beach (ex: Clearwater), when is the most appropriate time of the year?

I'd definitely plan a trip to the beach (gulf or Atlantic side) for months other than those assoicated with hurricane season. Late April or anytime in May can be an especially nice time at the beaches, before the summer crowds hit.

November can also be a great beach month as the weather is still pretty warm, but most of the hurricane threat is gone by then.
