US School Holidays May/June

Wonder if anyone can tell me if there are any US school holidays in May/June (2007) which would impact the queues at the parks. I appreciate states have different school calendars but any idea would be good !

Parks I was thinking of are the water parks and Epcot - we are heading to the beach and take it as red if there are school holidays then beaches are going to be busy.

Well, you have to consider that many schools in the U.S. are "out for the summer" by late May and early June.

There is Memorial Day weekend on the last weekend of May which is a "work" holiday as well, but most schools in the SE part of the U.S. and in Orlando itself will have already stopped for the summer by then (dates for this holiday next year are May 25th-28th). This is the only "major" holiday during this timeframe, but it will be very crowded at both theme parks and beaches on this holiday weekend.

If your schedule is flexible enough, plan on trying to come to Orlando and other parts of Florida during the first or middle part of May before all the schools "let out" for the summer. This will allow you the same type of weather with much diminshed crowd levels.

LAM, May and June are generally fairly quiet at the parks, even with the Memorial Day holiday.

You will not ever, EVER have the place to yourself -- there are 15 million people who *live* in Florida, a state with about the same amount of square miles as the UK.

Remember that from Monday to Friday, most people have to earn a living -- and so are not on the beach nor at the parks. (And at now $67 per person just to walk in the gate, even fewer will opt for the parks.)

You'll be fine -- you'll find short lines and the beaches will not be paved with bodies.

15 million in the about the same square miles, Eh ,

There's 60 million plus here, and rising fast .. Little wonder we live in each others pockets , have small houses. that cost a fortune and which now need 40 year mortgages to pay for them. Where immigrants out weigh our reduced indigenous birth rate. And where gas is $8;50 a gallon Our burial grounds will soon be digging graves with a post hole borer and planting us upright 10 stories high no doubt,

We shall soon need a revolution

Last week in April - first 3 in May will be a better bet. By the end of first week in June the influx of families and children are noticabally increased.

But when its not so busy lots of the shows that go on in the parks at weekend and other busy periods they are reduced and often cut all together, along with eairlier closing times.

Heads you win . Tails you lose..
