Character Dining without Children

I've booked breakfast at Crystal Palace as I've been a life-long fan of Pooh and the Gang. It's just me (50) and Hubby (58) so will it look odd without children?

I find this really fascinating

What do you do at these meals - do you actually talk to the characters - what do you talk about

Do you have them sign autographs and have pictures taken

Of course I understand the attraction for children but adults??

Isn't it just a teeny bit creepy

I'm not being disrespectful - I just don't get it after all "it's a puppet" lol

We used to take the kids when they were little but never noticed if any couples there on their own! Can't wait now!!

Thanks for all your replies. I love this forum!

Susie, if you ask me, the adults actually enjoy it more than the kids...lol I love getting autographs and taking pics with the characters (and yes we do talk to them!!) It's just plain old fun :)

Susie, I can understand your feelings, but I think that part of the appeal is to see other young children enjoy the characters as ours did (they're now too grown up to come with us!).

I've never "talked" to a character before so don't suppose I'll do it now. What I am looking forward to is to having photographs taken with the characters to show our grandchild (who is not yet born but is on the way) when he/she gets here and is old enough to understand so that when we take him/her to Orlando they can do what we did.

Biggest reason I want to do this though is because I'm a big kid at heart and we haven't been back to Orlando for 12 years so want to do "everything" LOL.

I don't think it's creepy and didn't take your comments as disrespectful so no worries xx

Simba I shouldn't have said creepy sorry - maybe odd is more what I think

Still don't get the concept of adults hanging out with Disney characters but obviously I'm in the minority so whatever floats your boat as they say

I must admit I do like to see the children's faces when they meet the characters it even warms my cold heart lol
