Virgin - Premium Economy - Whats a good price?.

Hi Everyone,

Looking to head to Orlando May 2014 for anniversary and have been looking at possibly upgrading to Premium Economy (both ways) but not sure what is / is not a good price for PE.

We are used to looking at economy and have a good idea of a decent price, but having never flown in PE was just looking for some feedback on what people think the average price is, £800, £900?

Cheers in advance

I have just had a look at some flights for May 2014 on the VA website and they are coming out at around/just over the £900 mark. That is probably quite a good price.

We used to travel in Premium Economy until we had kids. Now we book economy and pay for extra legroom seats. Costs us about £240 on top of the flight price for all four of us and to be totally honest I personally don't find that much difference as we only booked Premium for the extra legroom seats.

They quoted us £5000 for the 5 of us in July. We declined.

Thanks for the feedback folks, another option which is coming in about the same price as return premium economy is flying out with BA in economy but flying back in club class which i understand is the level above premium economy. Diffulcult to know if the price is reasonble or not?!

Doesn't really matter what price you get so long as your happy with it. Whatever you pay somebody will always tell you they got it cheaper anyway:)

If you have the option to fly BA Club World on the overnight return flight, grab it! You will get a better sleep in the bed rather than a seat with more recline. Even flying on the daytime flight to MCO in World Traveller is no great shakes. I know we have had deals before with BA flying World Traveller Plus to Chicago and First Class home which was great.
