Prood of age of child for admission into disney?

I have a 2 year old but he's very big for his age....will I have to pay because he looks older? Was wondering how they go about dealing with this?

They generally take your word for it, but people do try to sneak older children in all the time.

If you feel uncomfortable, you can bring a copy of his birth cert?

Wee had no problems last year with our daughter, she was 2, her birthday was 4 days after wee got back. They didn't even ask us anything about her.

According to a friend who works at WDW, no one is allowed to ask the age of a small child. He said that the goal is that children over age 4 will pay an entry fee because it will be too embarrassing for people with a 4 year old to claim the child is only 2.

Have taken all of my grandchildren to WDW many times since they were babies, and no one has ever asked any questions about age or birth dates.

This problem has cropped up on here before, and sorry to say but some people have been asked that question.

IMO...easiest way and least fuss is just to keep a copy of his birth certificate with you, and if asked the age question, you can confirm, and you will not encounter any problem or embarrassment at the gate.

Since people try to sneak their 3 year olds in for free,Disney does sometimes ask for proof of age. And they often ask the child when the parents insist the 3 year old is actually 2 since most kids will blurt their real age out. Just bring a copy of the birth certificate, you probably won't get asked but better to be safe than pay for a ticket that your child doesn't need.
