Itinerary -- comments please

Who we are: Parents with five-year-old twins. Parents have done Disney on before (a kabillion years ago), but this is a first trip for the munchkins. Staying on property at Beach Club Villas. I have very early risers so my itinerary is designed to take advantage of early morning hours.

Wednesday, September 27 -- arrive at resort at 6pm; dinner at Boardwalk (ESPN Club) or hotel.

Thursday, September 28 -- Magic Kingdom in the morning, hotel in afternoon for pool/down time. Mexico/Epcot in evening (kids request ; we travel to Mexico frequently and they want to eat here). I also have Crystal Palace lunch resies if we decide to use them.

Friday, September 29 -- Animal Kingdon in the morning then back to hotel for lots of rest. Halloween Party in the evening. Lunch resies (if we use them) at Rainforest Cafe (I know this is not on dining plan) and early dinner resies at Tony's (we're not fans of Liberty Tree).

Saturday, September 30 -- MGM in morning, hotel in afternoon with lunch resies at 50's Primetime and dinner resies at Flying Fish/Boardwalk although we're thinking of heading back into Epcot and doing wine/apps around the world for the start of the Wine Festival. If we do this, we'll rent stroller for kiddies who can just enjoy scenery while mom and dad enjoy refreshments (although we may be too tired to do this option and elect for a quiet dinner at hotel).

Sunday, October 1 -- Early character breakfast resies at Cape May followed by a trip to airport and home.

Thanks in advance for any advice and suggestions.

Looks good! It is great that you have early risers because we enjoy getting to the parks early while others are just waking up and getting around. Make sure that you get to MK no later than 30 minutes before park opening so you can get a good place to stand in front of the balcony of the train station. This is where they have their opening ceremonies show just before park opening and all of the characters ride in on the train together. Make sure you are back far enough to see the train come in and not just the edge of the balcony.

Try to get to your San Angel Inn dinner check-in early and request a table by the River of Time. The kids will love being close to the volcano scene and watching the people come through on the boat ride. If they tell you you may have to wait a little longer just go with it. They will give you a beeper and you can enjoy looking around in the little indoor village just outside the restaurant while you wait. It is worth it because the boat ride keeps the kids entertained while mom and dad enjoy a Margarita or three! LOL

Get to the AK at park opening and go straight to the Safari ride because more animals are active in the mornings. Don't miss the Lion King Show and the Flights of Wonder Show. Your kids will love these. Lion King Show is amazing and Flights of Wonder is great because the birds fly right over your heads in the crowd. It is fabulous.

We love Tony's. I don't think you will be disappointed. We like to eat on the porch and try to schedule around the time of Spectromagic. I doubt they have Spectromagic on the night you are there because of the Halloween Party but it is still nice to sit out there and people watch. It is just more relaxing and in late Sept. the heat won't be a factor late in the evening.

If you opt for Epcot on Friday evening instead of Boardwalk, your kids would love dinner at the Garden Grill but you will want to make reservations ASAP. Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale are there and the food is great. The restaurant revolves so you get to see different scenery as you eat including different scenery from the Living with the Land ride. It is really cool.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip!

Sept. 28th - there is a morning Extra Magic Hours. Get there before the park opens - at least 15 minutes. Ignore the characters that want to greet you - they're around all day. Go straight down Main Street to Fantasy Land and get it done. These have some of the slowest loading / lowest capacity rides in all of Disney World. Dumbo is the absolute slowest so do it first if you're wanting that classic photo of the kids on the flying elephants.

Hey dpata

Quoting you "doing wine/apps around the world for the start of the Wine Festival" your kids might be pushing you and hubby in the double stroller if you have too much wine from around the world. Better go easy LOL.

Hope your kids enjoy themselves....
