Safe in villa?

Hi just wondering do they have safes in the villas over there? Booked with thomson for cumbrian lakes and just wondered if there was somewhere safe to keep money and documents etc?

The villas are all privately owned, therefore, some have safes, whilst others don't.

We own a villa (not at Cumbrian Lakes) and have a safe installed for locking valuables away.

You could always ask Thomson's but if they are unsure then perhaps purchase something like this just in case

https:/…

It doesn't hold a lot of stuff but would be OK for cash, passports etc. If we have stayed somewhere that doesn't have a safe we normally split things up and stash in discreet places. If something did happen to your villa (heaven forbid) most crooks don't want to spend and age looking around for valuables so if it's hidden out of sight they are less likely to find it. You just need to be able to remember where you put it when you want it :)

When we went to Florida last year I used this:

amazon.com/Vacation-Vault-Portable-Protectiv…

It has enough room to hold the valuables (money and passports, etc.)and can be attached to anything.
