Lowry Park Zoo / Tampa Aquarium

Hi guys, also posted this in the Tampa forum but it's dead so I thought someone on here might have some ideas:

I will be visiting Big Cat Rescue in Tampa with my husband while we're in Florida in May. We are going to do one of the morning tours on a weekend, and we were looking for something to do in the Tampa area for the afternoon. We were thinking about heading to either the Florida Aquarium or Lowry Park zoo, but I'm wondering would the zoo be very busy on a Sunday afternoon? Whichever one we go to, we would be there about 12 or 1pm and would stay til closing I suppose. Which place would be better in terms of getting something to eat afterwards before heading back to Orlando?

Try private messaging Ah ha and Mark B over there, they will know and help you.

I would, but I haven't been to either.

If going to the Florida Aquarium, you are very close to a wonderful place to eat - the (original) Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City and 2-3 blocks from I-4 and your drive back to Orlando. See it here: http://goo.gl/maps/YiztK

Here is the link for the Columbia: http://www.columbiarestaurant.com/ybor.asp
