Disney / Universal

Hi

I have booked a 14 day hol with a 7 day Disney / 7 day Universal stay for my family which is 2 adults and 2 boys aged 11 & 9yrs). I am now wondering if I should have booked a 9 day Disney / 5 Universal as I'm not sure if there will be enough over at universal for 7 days. Can anybody please advise from experience. I have a flexi ticket but dont want to be paying unnecessary transfer costs if we get bored after doing The Park, universal Studios, Seaworld, Aquatica.

I have the Orlando Flex Pass without Busch Gardens and people have said have a down day to recharge. On reading Universal Attractions reviews I think splitting some days with Water Park / Theme Parks maybe a good idea.

As for Disney the getting up and out seems to be a good idea, go back to resort for a chill out, then return to park for the evening entertainment and fun

On looking at my boys, I think Disney is going to be better for my eldest who is quiet and not a thrill seeker and my youngest the daredevil will love Universal.

I dont know about 11 times...I'm struggling to get my head round the first time!

I think going to a water park and regular park in the same day would be exhausting.

At universal and islands, you could spend half days and then relax and enjoy the portofino (there are 3 different pools there), plus you can pool hop to the other 2 hotels on site.
