Wifi in the Parks

Can anyone update me on Wifi in the parks.

I'm wanting to use one of the queue time apps, but that uses the internet, and as we are coming from the UK my carrier (vodafone) would no doubt charge and arm and a leg to stay connected for a fortnight.

So I have heard they have installed Wifi in all the parks.

Does anyone know if they have and if its reliable and is it free.

Thanks n advance

It does work & it is free. I used it in MK, HS & AK, it isn't entirely consistent though and can depend on where you are in the park. It did help though using undercover tourist & Disney apps to keep an eye on the ride wait times.

Thanks SG.

Thats exactly what I wanted to use it for.

I'm on Vodafone I assume you got connected ok without using any expensive UK roaming data charges.

No roaming charges. I'm on Vodafone also. I turn off the data roaming to ensure no nasty surprises!

The apps do help with your plans during the day.

We used it over Christmas & New Year in all the parks and also at downtown Disney. Just search for wifi and pick the one called "Disney Guest". You then just tick a box agreeing to the T&C's and away you go. I would agree with SG1974 though that it can be a bit sketchy in some areas and if the park is very busy it can be non-existant.

We also used it for the queue times apps from undercover tourist and Disneyworld themselves and they both worked ok.

This is one improvement that Disney have gotten spot on.

Happy surfing....
