Must see shows

What are some must see shows at Disney? My kids are 5 and 7 so I know we will want to take in some shows for a short break from time to time. We will be going to all 4 parks as well as IOA for one day.

So far this is my list:

MK-

Mickeys PhilharMagic

Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor

Stitch's Great Escape

Epcot-

Turtle Talk with Crush

HS-

Fantasmic

Lights Motors Action

AK-

Its Tough to be a Bug

Stitch's Great Escape is horrible.....it isn't a show and really isn't a ride, but a waste of time.

Lion King in the AK especially if you haven't seen the Broadway show.

Really? Our friends loved Stitch. Why is it so bad?

We will definitely do Lion King!

yeah, might give stitch a miss (due to content). and everything at AK is worthwhile - Lion King, Nemo, Bird Show. At HS, Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast even if you don't have girls I would say.

We have one of each. DS is 5 and DD will actually turn 8 the day after we return.

What do you mean by the content?

may be too scary. you are strapped in individual seats with over the shoulder roller coaster like restraints, it's dark, special effects, etc. if you've seen the movie it is pre arrival in Hawaii when he is still not so nice and as the name implies wanting to escape. this used to be Alien Encounter. it is still similar in many ways

Yes agree, don't even waste your time with Stitch. It's terrible, uncomfortable, dark, boring actually and a bit smelly.

excuse me did someone say Stitch is boring????????????????

Mrs Weaver, the best thing to do is to try and see as many attractions as you can, IMO they are all worth seeing at least once. Whats fantastic for one person can be pants for another, everyone enjoys different things.

For instance I could live with never seeing Lights, Motors, Actions again or Fantasmic but I would be very upset if they ever closed Carousel of Progress (which loads of people hate).

Take them on everything they want to go on and enjoy:)

Like USL said, try to get on everything. But, I would ammend your 'must sees' to include Nemo and Lion King at AK, and Beuty and the Beast at HS. I've never been on Stitch, so I can't comment on that.

I would add Muppet Vision 3D at HS to the list of shows to see. It's will be fun for the kids, and (like most things Muppets) there is humor targeted at adults as well.
