i'm in desperate need of good orlando hotel advice!

hi everyone,

i am planning on taking a trip to universal studios and disney world with my boyfriend in june. he has never been to either park and i want him to have a good experience. i have spent the past week reading and rereading hotel reviews on all kinds of websites, and just when i think ive found a keeper, its either too expensive, or i read a horrifying review. if anyone can give me good advice, please help! here is an outline of what i am looking for:

very clean rooms (a MUST, top priority)

close to either park (universal or WDW)

price range of around $100 a night (i could go with a little over, but i could REALLY go with alot under)

we're not too concerned with things like whether or not the hotel has a pool, free breakfast, etc.

and it would also be nice if maybe the hotel offers a fridge and microwave (once again cleanliness is a huge priority here being that i am officially neurotic :) )

anyway, anything anyone can post would be really appreciated! thanks a bunch!

Do not go to Days inn. They all look old and grimy. I would suggest that if you can get a small villa or condo, that may be a better choice. It may probibly work out cheaper that 100 per night and you can get a kitchen or at least a kitchenette.

Everone here talks about Windsor Hills. Anyway i'm sure there are other here with better info that me on private villas.

I've stayed at many of the motels along Hwy 192 in Kissimmee, and for the most part, the cleanliness was subject to whomever was cleaning the room. Even the most expensive places have had some bad experiences with unclean rooms sometime or another.

For what it's worth, the last two trips I've gone to the area, we stayed at the Super 8 Lakeside on Hwy 192 in Kissimmee. Each room here has a mini-fridge and microwave oven. We found the rooms here no less clean than anywhere else we've stayed, but since you want the fridge/microwave, I know for sure this place has them in the rooms. It is also operated by Americans.

Now, this may be a little under the scale you are looking for, but since we never go in June, I don't know how to compare the prices. I don't think any of the Disney resort rooms you could get for $100 have a fridge/microwave in the room, as this is typically for the higher-priced resorts. I have no experience with staying near Universal Studios.

Just one gals input.
