Is there a possibility for a large family of 12 to get hotel accommadations with meals included with in a disney resort???? If so, what would the cost be per person for a week, including air fair from NY or Boston, June 2009??? any info is greatly appreciated.

Go to DisneyWorld.com and you can put all your info. in for prices. You can include airfare and the disney dining plan options which would include some meals. Go to the website, all your answers can be answered there.

Agreed, that's the easiest way to do it. Plus, you don't have an obligation to book online. If you're looking at 12, might want to consider a DVC property and stay in a villa. Or, look at multiple rooms based on the number of families going.

Though, you might want to consider booking your flights separately from Disney via AirTran.

It depends on what you want and what you consider all-inclusive.

As someone mentioned, there are several options you can add on as you book hotel/tickets...

Quick Service Meal Plan - 2 counter service and 1 snack per person per day - $20 per day approx

Basic Meal Plan - 1 Table Service, 1 counter service, one snack per day - $40 per

Deluxe Dining - 3 meals per day, 2 snacks I think, more food per meal. - about $70 per day

Premium Plan - Includes additional items like some tours and activities plus deluxe dining plans. - anout $125 per day

Platinum Plan - closest to all inclusive Disney has. Includes all meals, at all restaurants, all tours, all activities etc. - about $200 per day

All of those prices are approx, per person, and gratuities are not included on all plans.

I checked the Disney website....a little overwhelming. Would it be easier and less expensive to try getting a resort hotel near Disney world with a meal plan?????

You cannot get the Disney meal plan without booking an entire Disney package deal with Disney hotel and tickets.

Are you an AAA member? I have AAA travel specialists book all my "all inclusive" Disney packages and they do an excellent job and get some discounts up to 20% off as well.

Great idea!! I am a AAA member. Didnt even think of them. I will try and see if they can put something together for us. It is very difficult to try and please an entire family with different personalities. We have to make sure that this vacation will be fun for everyone...the married couples with child, the single, the married with no children and the retired couple. This will be a challenge.

I've never used it and don't know if it makes sense for you, but Disney has a program called Magical Gatherings that plans family reunions for parties of 8 or more with all sorts of customized arrangements. Here is the website , if you want to investigate it:

I agree with Kat. WE have used AAA and have found their prices to be a little less expensive that the Disney website. AAA has Disney Experts that can get you thru the entire process.

Book your flight seperate. White Plains has a great airport and jetblue fly out of there. There is only two gates. Our last trip they were 5.00 more then JFK but closer for us. Parking is limited, we did get dropped off so we didn't have to worry about long term parking. It is actually in Greenwich's back yard so very convenient for anyone to drop you off. No NYC driving. You can get flights for as little as 79.00 each way. I think airtran flys out of there too. They only have 2 gates, so you feel like you are in a episode of Wings.

I would try booking a few rooms at a moderate, named this for a reason. It would please all levels. If kids also, I would stay away from Coronado since it is more for business travel.

I have looked into the Grand Gatherings, if on the dining plan this can be a great resource of character meals since a few are only offered to groups of 8 or more. It has to be ticketed guests, not the under 3.

Everyone booked to each room has to be on the same plan, so be sure to list all of those who might not go to a waterpark in one room. This can save with expenses.

We are a family of 8 and staying inside disney is so much easier with the transportation then staying outside of disney. If someone is ill they can go back to the room without the rest leaving. You can meet up a park later, etc. So many perks with the transportation.

You will have to book the rooms seperate, it is still easy. I put one room in my name and one in husbands.
