I am planning our trip and I was wondering how long it take to see all of animal kingdom. I am asking cause my oldest daughter want to eat at rainforest and I'm not sure if to book a lunch and then go back in or do dinner on way out.

Rainforest Cafe is right by the entrance to Animal Kingdom, so it could be nice just to nip out to have lunch there, to give you a break from the park. When we've been to Animal Kingdom in June, we've always arrived ready for rope drop, and we are normally done by about 3pm/4pm.

AK can be done in a day. You could consider Rainforest for breakfast, lunch or dinner but I'd recommend seeing whether it's possible to reserve a time on your way in, as lunch and dinner are most crowded. The best time to visit is first thing as it's quietest then. The choice of meals are still the same, regardless of time.

Personally, to maximise your time, I would get a quick lunch at the Flametree bbq in AK - Rainforest is at the entrance to the park and thus a bit further away from the main area (but not by much).

IF you do everything in A.K., including all the shows, it will usually take a good part of the day and if you stay for the parade, it will take all day.

However, as stated, the Rainforest Cafe is just outside the front entrance and you can do either lunch or dinner without much inconvenience.
