hotel rooms at Disney

I wonder what the rooms are like at Disney hotels. we have stayed in motel type places - 2 double beds, bathroom, tv, hanging rail (as opposed to wardrobes), small table couple of chairs and a few drawers in a dresser. These have always been okay as we have always spent most of our time out and just slept and showered in the rooms. They've always been cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied when necessary.

we stayed in Disney world of sport and music which were very similar in layout, size etc. although much more expensive, but we enjoyed being on Disney.

Are the rooms in the other Disney resorts more or less the same or do some of them have more furniture - say wardrobes instead of hanging rails - maybe more spacious perhaps a bit more individual, do any have balconies for example. we think that we might enjoy one of the beach hotels - but would probably opt for a suite out of Disney if the rooms ON disney were nothing special - apart of course from the proximity to disney and the transportation system

The Moderate resorts in Disney are more typical of your Holiday Inn, Best Westerns, Comfort Inns etc. The Deluxe resorts in Disney have alot better rooms. The thing about Disney is although the prices are higher, you are paying for the Disney perks of being on property. Which in my opinion is worth it if you are doing alot of Disney. Most of the time, I stay on Disney property as the resorts theming is awesome and the perks of being on property is well worth it!

It depends what resort types they are in, Disney has 3 different resort categories; Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, and Deluxe Resorts. The value resorts are furthest away from the Disney theme parks and major attractions and less amenites are offered. The Moderate resorts are much closer to the theme parks and major attractions and offer more amenities and nice grounds. The Deluxe Resorts have the best rooms with the most (nicest) furniture and most amenites, they usually very close to the theme parks and major attractions. You can learn more on Disney World at:
