Orlando with kids for 3 days pre-cruise. What to do?

We Disney'd last winter, was AMAZING! Hit all of the parks. So, we thought it would be good to Universal with our pre-cruise days. But, we aren't so sure given this board's advise. Kiddos will be 3, 5, 7, 8.5 and 10. How should we spend our time? Talking about January. What does Orlando have to offer for this age group? Thank you so much in advance for your guidance!

Yes there’s not as much for the younger ones to do at universal as there is at Disney but IMO you could fill at least a day, if not 2 and kids that age wouldn’t get bored. How about that and a day At seaworld?

How about SeaWorld?

Seaworld would have been perfect. I am hesitant because Seaworld has a horrible reputation for its treatment of animals and does not have a great record of being upfront with the public.

Seaworld does a lot of good. Read some stuff to balance out the negative documentary.

I think at least a day at Universal wouldn’t be wasted. At least 3/4 of your kids would have a blast riding while the little one would have plenty to do as well. Not sure why you eliminated it from contention.

Just realize if you go to Universal, the little ones won't have much they can participate in due to the restrictive height requirements on most rides.

They do have some things, but you have to weigh whether or not it's worth the high dollars you'll spend on that many tickets for so little "bang for your buck" at those two parks.

Eliminated Universal after receiving feedback from a different query on this board. Will there be enough for our 3 and 5 year olds?

Exactly, we keep hearing that there will be some for our 3 and 5 year olds, but not enough to justify visiting this year.

How about Legoland? Our grandkids loved it. Have you done Animal Kingdom?

How about Orlando Science Center—hands on experiences for pre-school and school age children. Add that to Legoland, and perhaps Gatorland, if you are opposed to SeaWorld.

Legoland will be boring to the older kids. With your spread, there’s no perfect park so don’t drive yourself crazy. Your youngests will find things to do at any of the parks.
