Pizza Delivery Scam Still Going Strong!

Never order pizza from flyers left under your hotel room door. A pizza delivery scam currently using the name "Italy's Italian Pizza" -aka Lombardi's, Otto's, Fresco,Pachino's...all operate under tel (407)554-4101 - is still going strong. You'll either get your credit card stolen & no pizza delivered, or have sub-sub-sub par pizza delivered, and your credit card number ripped off. Or, if you're "lucky", you get your cruddy pizza and are merely overcharged for it and don't have your credit card number stolen. WDW is aware of the scam and warning guests, but somehow a flyer for the "pizza company" still managed to get slipped under our door. If WDW knows they're on property, they are escorted off for trespassing. This explains the weirdness upon the pizza guys arrival whereupon he insisted I go out to his car to pick up my pizza (instead of delivering to the front desk, as WDW usually allows). Avoid at all costs.

Not sure if it’s the same company as I just binned the flyer without reading to deeply, but we had one under the door at Royal Pacific Resort last week..

So it can be “any” hotel, so watch out folks..

We had the flyers in 2015 at the Yacht club and last year at Royal Pacific. What bothers us is if the pizza flyer guy can get in the hotel and walk around, anyone can. I see lots of young kids walking around the hotels by themselves, makes me worried, their parents think because it's an onsite hotel the kids are safe but you never know. (yes I'm a worry wart) We told both hotels at the desk about the flyers, they all say "oh we're on it" but obviously it's still going. After the Disney trip I emailed Disney about it and someone called me and said "oh we take the flyers and put them under the doors", uh yeah I don't buy that lol

My parents almost got scammed by these guys when we were staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani last December. Thank goodness I looked at the flyer before they ordered, I looked them up online and saw it was fake. They ended up getting a frozen pizza from the gift shop downstairs and cooked it in the room.

Good to know. Thanks for posting.

My daughter will be going with a school group in Spring.

Will give them a heads up.

Plus, going to warn them, do not want them wandering the hotel grounds unchaperoned.

When we stay at the Homewood suites they show the tourist channel, a little cheesey, but there is a warning on there.

There are too many genuine good places around. Plus I would never trust anything put under my door. I would check with reception.

We have been going to Florida for around 26 years and nearly every hotel we have stayed at has had these pizza flyers through the door. They go straight in the bin !

We got a flyer from some pizza company run by a retired old guy. It was called Papa John’s, I think he said his name was John but we gave a good tip and the pizza arrived hot / fresh too.

Thanks for the tip, never even thought about being scammed by those fliers tho we seldom use them and have never had an issue when we did. Its a shame there are so many people wanting to rip off others of their hard earned money and spoil a vacation.

Papa Johns is a chain in America. I love their pizza. You should not ever have a scam issue from Papa Johns, Domino's or Pizza Hut.

Also, Trip adivsor has many restaurant reviews. Any city you are in you can go to the Restaurants tab on the page and look to see if they have reviews. If they are not listed there then I would probably not order from them.
