Naples - Where to stay?

We are going to Naples for a fews days rest after the Disney Experience. We have a four year old and a beach front location is a must for sandcastles. Somewhere with some nice family friendly eateries within walking distance. Any recommendations would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Naples Beach Hotel is probably the most family friendly hotel on the beach. It has a great new pool and the beach is RIGHT THERE.

The Waldorf and Ritz are nice but it's a hike to the pool so with a four year old, you may prefer a super close beach.

LaPlaya is another option. As is the Edgewater Beach Hotel.

I can't think of any hotels that have outside restaurants within walking distance. The Naples Beach Hotel is the closest to downtown.

Naples doesn't have a lot of hotels on the beach. It makes for a prettier shoreline. :)

The Naples Beach & Golf Club is a great location, however, it has an active nightlife, so be prepared for noise. Also, alot of the rooms look over the roof of the place & it's ugly. Lots of conventions, golfers, etc., going on there. Their beachside bar has live music every night until 10 pm, and they get quite a crowd. Parking can be a problem, especially during high season that runs until after Easter. If you want more R&R than anything, and after Disney that's a good idea!, then I'd go to the Edgewater. Very sedate. If you stay there ask for a room in the Tower. I personally prefer Vanderbilt Beach, though. The LaPlaya Hotel is located right on that beach, and the Ritz, while on the beach, requires more of a walk to get to the beach. Lots of kids at both places. Gumbo Limbo at the Ritz, an outdoor eatery is kid-friendly, the Turtle Club at Vanderbilt Resort has outdoor eating---lunch is reasonable, dinner is not, but it is good!!--LaPlaya is pricey.

We always stay at, The Cove Inn, great location. Have different rooms to suit all your needs. Amazing pool, situated on a Marina. Restaurants all in walking distance, or cook in your room... About half an hour from the Everglades, Marco Island, great place...

I would highly recommend the Edgewater Beach Resort. Very family friendly, located right on the beach with all rooms having kitchenettes.
