Water temps this time of year.

Hey folks, we're down to four days to the Keys, can't even think about anything but Key West here at work. Looking out at the snow makes me wonder about water temps.

Is it going to be a bit nipply out as Clark Griswold would say?

Ellen: Clark, Audrey's frozen from the waist down.

Clark: That's all part of the experience, honey.

Have a great day,

From my experiences (New Year's Day and our annual May trip), I think the water is always warm. Don't recall ever wearing more than a light sweatshirt after dark on any trip. Once you get there, you'll "get it". A cold, rainy day there, is still better than a warm, summer day here (MN) :-)

Right now it's just a tad bit nippy. Two minutes in the water and you are adjusted. Of course, this is coming from someone who lives here. You may find it just right! It's been in the 80's the past couple days.

A quick check in our canal off the Atlantic... 76.8F at ten feet... 80F at the surface.

Down here, it's called 'nice'

Up North, we called it bath water.

I can do 80 degrees. A few years ago we went white water rafting in Colorado and I can guarentee you it wasn't anywhere near 80 and we did fine with out wet suits.

Down to three days,

Thanks,
