Mosquitoes in Indian Shores in July

We are coming to Indian Shores 29 June - 12 July, it's our first visit to the Gulf Coast albeit we been to Orlando during the same period and never been bothered by Mosquitoes. Being near the water (and the waterway), are they a problem? If so, what precautions should I be taking?

Many thanks

You may want to get a spray to have handy, just in case you need it. They are more prevelent in the Summer. But usually, the closer you are to the beach, the less of a problem they are due to the seabreeze. So you may notice them more on the mainland, or nearer the bay, but they should not be much of a problem on the beach.
